MASSO Differential Receiver Module
Converts MASSO differential STEP/DIRECTION outputs for drives that require single-ended signals
The MASSO Differential Receiver Module makes it possible to connect stepper or servo drives that do not natively accept differential motion-control signals. It converts MASSO’s differential STEP and DIRECTION outputs into single-ended signals while helping preserve reliable communication in electrically noisy CNC environments.
Why You May Need It
MASSO controllers use differential motion signals for improved noise resistance. Some third-party stepper and servo drives only accept single-ended STEP and DIRECTION inputs. This module bridges that compatibility gap so those drives can be used without replacing the motor-control hardware.
Key Features
- Signal conversion: Converts differential STEP and DIRECTION signals to single-ended outputs.
- Supports up to five axes: Handles motion-control signals for as many as five machine axes.
- Improved noise resistance: Helps maintain reliable signaling around VFDs, spindles, plasma systems, and long cable runs.
- Integrated 5V supply: Provides the required low-voltage output without a separate 5V power supply.
- Compact installation: Fits neatly inside CNC controller and electrical enclosures.
- Removable terminal blocks: Simplifies wiring, service, and future changes.
Ideal For
- MASSO G3 and compatible MASSO controller installations
- Stepper drives with single-ended PULSE/DIR or STEP/DIRECTION inputs
- Servo drives that do not support differential input signals
- CNC routers, mills, plasma tables, and machine retrofits
- Long signal runs or electrically noisy control cabinets
What’s Included
- One genuine MASSO Differential Receiver Module
- Removable screw-terminal connectors
Compatibility Notice
This module is intended for drives that require single-ended motion-control signals. Confirm your drive’s input type, voltage requirements, common connection, and wiring diagram before installation. It is not required when the connected drive already supports differential STEP and DIRECTION inputs.
Installation Note
Proper grounding, shielding, cable routing, and enclosure wiring are still important for reliable CNC operation. Keep low-voltage motion-control wiring separated from spindle, VFD, plasma, and mains-power wiring whenever possible.
