Replace outdated CNC electronics with a modern MASSO-based control system, available with Core or Advanced firmware and optional closed-loop stepper motors.

This conversion kit is designed for compatible hobby, prosumer, and custom CNC machines that need a more capable, serviceable, and expandable control system. It is based on the same control platform used in PwnCNC machines and can be configured with no motors, 2Nm motors, or 3Nm motors.

Choose Your Firmware Level

• Core firmware: A streamlined configuration for straightforward CNC control and common machine conversions.
• Advanced firmware: Adds expanded capability for more complex accessories, automation, and future upgrades.

Select the firmware level that matches your current requirements and expected upgrade path.

Choose Your Motor Package

• No steppers: For qualified builds where compatible motors will be supplied separately or reused after verification.
• 2Nm closed-loop package: Includes motors for X, Y, and B plus a Z-axis motor with electric brake.
• 3Nm closed-loop package: Higher-torque option for heavier gantries, more demanding machines, or customers wanting additional motion-system headroom.

What Is Not Included

This product provides the CNC control electronics and selected motion components. The following are sold separately unless specifically shown as part of another package:

• Spindle or router system
• XYZ probe
• Tool setter
• Rotary axis
• Automatic tool changer
• Machine-specific brackets, couplers, or mechanical adapters

Machine Compatibility

Suitable for many NEMA 23-based hobby and prosumer CNC machines, including select Onefinity, Shapeoko, OpenBuilds, WorkBee, X-Carve, Stepcraft, Mega V, New-Carve, and custom machines. Compatibility is not universal and should be verified before ordering.

Some machines require replacement couplers, new switch brackets, rewiring, motor changes, or other machine-specific modifications.

Installation Requirements

• Removal of the original controller and related electronics
• Basic mechanical and electrical installation skills
• Ferrule and Phoenix-style connector work
• Proper grounding and shield-drain practices
• Machine-specific mounting, alignment, and calibration

A ferrule crimping tool is strongly recommended when trimming or modifying wiring.

Warranty and Compatibility Notice

Installing a conversion kit typically requires removal of the original electronics and may void the CNC manufacturer’s warranty. Original motors and accessories may be proprietary, undocumented, or unsuitable for reuse. PwnCNC cannot guarantee compatibility with every third-party machine or component.

Optional Professional Installation

Customers near PwnCNC in Northwest Arkansas may arrange local installation. Service can include electronics installation, switch-bracket fabrication, motion calibration, homing setup, and operational verification. Installation labor and machine-specific parts are quoted separately.
