CNC CA Glue & Activator Workholding Kit

A fast, clean workholding solution for securing CNC stock with the CA glue and tape method.

This kit pairs medium-viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive with activator spray to create a strong temporary bond in seconds. When used with tape applied to both the spoilboard and workpiece, it helps hold material securely without screws or clamps in the cutting area.

Why Use It?

• Fast setup for signs, inlays, carvings, and small parts
• Helps keep the top and edges of the workpiece clear for machining
• Works well when clamps would interfere with the toolpath

• Pairs with workholding tape to reduce direct glue contact with the spoilboard and stock

How to Use

1. Clean dust and debris from the spoilboard and underside of the workpiece.
2. Apply matching strips of workholding tape to both surfaces.
3. Apply a small amount of CA glue to one taped surface.
4. Lightly spray activator on the matching taped surface.
5. Align the workpiece carefully, press the surfaces together, and hold briefly while the bond forms.
6. After machining, separate the workpiece and remove the tape.

Compatible Materials

Suitable for many wood, metal, glass, stone, ceramic, and compatible plastic surfaces when used as directed. Bond performance varies by material and surface preparation.

Important Notes

Workholding strength depends on tape coverage, surface condition, part size, cutting forces, adhesive quantity, and machining strategy. Test the setup before aggressive cutting. Avoid use on polyethylene, polypropylene, silicone, PTFE, or other non-stick surfaces unless compatibility has been verified.

Safety

CA glue bonds skin and eyes rapidly. Use in a well-ventilated area, avoid breathing activator mist, and keep away from children. Follow all warnings and instructions printed on the product packaging.

Workholding tape is sold separately.
